Who is DUDUUM and what does it aim to achieve?

Duduum is the beat of our heart when we reconnect with our deeper Self.
It is a business project focused on the mindful consumption of pure cacao, through a ritual (which is different from a ceremony, as you will discover) based on experiences of “transformative tasting.” Through the powerful health properties of cacao (known as the food of the gods), this “drink of rebirth” invites us to take care of ourselves, to relax, to bring peace within, letting go of past habits that no longer serve our well-being, embracing the future with a sense of wonder, and cultivating physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

DUDUUM pure cacao mass is crafted in an artisanal, skillful, and sustainable way by the Buletti Brothers of Ambrì Piotta, the only bean-to-bar (and slow food) producer in Ticino, with whom we collaborate.
Duduum is a single ingredient, in the form of nibs, (preferably) to be dissolved in hot water: we are water, water is life, and it allows us to purify ourselves and spread the wonderful power of DUDUUM to every cell in our body.

Duduum embodies a mission-driven business model, promoting awareness of the traceable ethical supply chain, the relationship with “real” food, the relationship with nature, and with others. It guides us on a sort of “initiatory” journey.

DUDUUM…

  • IT HAS A SINGLE INGREDIENT AND IS ORGANIC : organic, high-quality cacao beans from a single origin, carefully processed by “special” people
  • IT IS ETHICAL: we choose quality and traceable partners who pay farmers a better price
  • IT IS PRODUCED AND “CONCEIVED” IN TICINO: artisanally crafted by the Buletti Brothers (Piotta), the only bean-to-bar producers in Ticino, conceived, packaged, distributed, and “facilitated” by us
  • IT IS GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH: it’s a superfood, rich in antioxidants for the heart, minerals for the body and mind, and contains theobromine for a good mood

About the experiences:

1) Tasting journey with DUDUUM

Duration: 2 hours

Location: Novazzano. The activity takes place in a regular venue, so don’t expect a lab! (If you are looking for the only bean-to-bar laboratory in Ticino, we encourage you to visit the one run by the Buletti Brothers in Piotta, with whom we collaborate for the production of DUDUUM).

Language: Italian, English, or French

Cost: Depends on the number of participants (minimum two people)

  • Two people: CHF 80 per person
  • More than two people: CHF 70 per person

During this journey together, we will:

  • Learn about the entire cacao processing phase, from the bean to the bar, while enjoying a cup of cacao tea.
  • Discover the organoleptic properties of chocolate: How do you recognize good chocolate?
  • Learn about the main health benefits of cacao
  • Taste 4 high-quality chocolates (including two from Buletti) and share the sensory experience together, also using creative techniques (e.g., drawing)
  • Taste DUDUUM, the “drink of the gods,” and understand its deeper meaning

2) Transformative Journey with DUDUUM

Duration: 3 hours

Location: Novazzano. The activity takes place in a regular venue, so don’t expect a lab! (If you are looking for the only bean-to-bar laboratory in Ticino, we encourage you to visit the one run by the Buletti Brothers in Piotta, with whom we collaborate for the production of DUDUUM).

Language: Italian, English, or French

Cost (minimum 4 people): CHF 100 per person

During this journey together, we will:

  • Learn about the entire cacao processing phase, from the bean to the bar, while enjoying a cup of cacao tea.
  • Discover the organoleptic properties of chocolate: How do you recognize good chocolate?
  • Learn about the main health benefits of cacao.
  • Experience a transformative sensory journey with DUDUUM, tasting the “drink of the gods” and experiencing its transformative power as a “ritual” in our time, in our culture: The “social” enterprise,  the ethical supply chain (storytelling) and the “transformative” sensory experience: we will work on a habit we want to change in our life (what do we want to let go of from the past, and what new thing wants to emerge) using the model of the Inner Development Goals.

Manuela Pagani Larghi
A humanist economist, counselor, and facilitator, she focuses on personal, organizational, and systemic transformation topics. Founder of Duduum Sagl, the U.Lab IDG Hub Ticino, and co-founder of Impact Hub Ticino and the In-Patto association.
